Good/cheap/casual dinner in Waltham?

Hi,
I'm looking for a restaurant for take-out or sit-down in Waltham, around Moody Street and $15-$20 for an entree (or less). Have been to Elephant Walk already, and found some reviews of Solea and Tempo on Chowhound but I think they're a bit on the pricier side of what I'm looking for.

Something even on the lines of Domenic's would be fine, but alas, they close at 5:30pm. Anyone have suggestions? Can't eat spicy food, but no other strong preferences.

Thanks.

    1. Some options could be:

      Grassfield's
      Chateau
      Piccadilly Pub

None of the above are fine dining, but very casual and food quality seems consistent.

Tacqueria el Mexico. You can chose non spicy dishes/tacos.
Beijing Star. Haven't been yet, but good reviews here.
Tree Top Thai Cuisine on Prospect? Anyone been? I heard good things recently.

              Hi,

              Correction: It's Taqueria Mexico
              www.taqueriamexico.com
              24 Charles Street

                  thanks

              • Sadie's (decent bar food across from movie theater just off Moody)
Bison County (decent sandwiches and beer)
Tree Top Thai is generally good either take out or dine in

                  1. Another suggestion would be Mi Tierra.

                      1. Never been to Tree Top Thai; but Baan Thai next to Elephant Walk is not bad.

Tara's Pizza on Moody Street, despite its name, serves Chilean specialties, including chacarero & empanadas. Very casual. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/594066

You can also try Guanachapi's, or Ponzu, or Tango Mango on Moody Street. Sushi Yasu's korean offerings aren't bad either. It's on Main Street across from Waltham Common.

                        1. Thanks for all the suggestions! Question about Mexican food--can anyone explain (or link me to) something explaining the differences between gorditas, tacos, enchiladas, etc.? I feel silly asking, but I honestly don't know.
