Would like to go to Peter Luger with my family. We would like to try porterhouse and the burger.

Will both be available for lunch? Or porterhouse is available only for dinner. I checked the menu online but was not sure.

If we go for weekday lunch right when restaurant opens, will we be able to get a table or best to call ahead for reservation for mid march? Thanks.

The burger is only available at lunch, but the German Potatoes are not. The porterhouse/steak for two etc... is available all the time. I'd call for a reservation, especially if you have a large party.

    Lastly, don't forget the bacon.

For awhile I recall that the porterhouse was only available for parties that had made reservations. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is still the case? Either way I'd recommend calling for a reservation.

i made my reservation today. Was told porterhouse for 2 available at lunch.
So we are ordering porterhouse for us and burgers for the kids. And bacon as recommended.

        Anything else? Thx.

I'm not a big dessert eater, but GF likes the schlagg on pretty much any desert.
