I don't recall seeing this mentioned in Chowhound. Today I was visiting my friend's store in Little Tokyo and went to Honda Plaza to pick up a booklet of stamps to mail some letters. Looking for the small post office I noticed a trio of food trucks parked along the east side of Alameda near Traction (the street Crazy Gideon's was on). The trucks were the Buttermilk truck, Surfer Tacos and one called Tasty Meat. This was around 2 pm (Tuesday). Apparently it's a current gathering place for food trucks. Found this article online. http://laist.com/2010/02/11/today_dow...

It appears to be very unprofessional to me. They're supposed to open at 11:00 AM and the ones that are there are unprepared and others show up late.

Anybody know if the Dosa Truck mentioned in the link is any good? Downtown badly needs some Indian choices. From their website, it looks like it's more Indian/Hippie/Hipster fusion, but that doesn't mean it's bad. (On the other hand, apparently no sambar! Blasphemy!) I always want to mention to the restaurant owners in Little India that they should open something up downtown, but I have a feeling that would turn into something like that Seinfeld episode where Jerry tries to give restaurant business advice.

Been there, done that. The trucks change every time, so I think it's definitely worth checking out...
