The NYTimes said that this post set a comments record--over 1100, I think (last I checked, the comments were up to page 46. Interesting how people are more likely to post a comment about tips than they are about war or torture or foreclosures or other more "newsworthy" topics, though, to be fair, many of the Times articles don't allow comments. BTW, I think I waded through about 3 pages of comments and that's enough--after all, we've probably read the very same thoughts on Chowhound!
