Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in the SF Bay Area (including Berkeley, Oakland, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, and San Jose)

21st bday for Napa Valley-vegetarian/pescatarian/performing artist/white sparkling wine--also wedding venues?

My youngest D has long weekend in Oct to celebrate her August Bday. Wants to do it in Napa valley. Probably will arrive Fri pm and need to leave Monday to go go back to college. Dad and mom will be there as well as perhaps her partner.

She is young vegeterian/pescatarian performing artist who likes white and sparkling wines.

Thinking of Sterling, Domaine Chandon for wine. Others?

Heard of Ubuto. What else for chow?--she does not like pretentious veganism at all. Anything earthy for food is best for her. Any picnic places now? I know they were limited.

Balloon ride would be a an amazing spiritual event she has mentioned, suggestions? Also any other spiritually uplifting experience?

Also looking for a massage (does love and need theraputic massage). Suggestions for places?

Best transportation options for value between events (we don't need an accident!)?

where to stay? 2 rooms needed. Package perhaps?

Perhaps scouting wedding venues-for the future. Ideas?

I am seeking a physical, spiritual, culinary, artistic, and intellectual experiences for her on this special occassion at the best possible price point.

Lots of questions I know --hope you can advise based on your experience

Thanks

    1. We ask respondants to limit their replies to discussion of food, wineries, and picnic spots. General travel discussion is off topic for Chowhound; there are many Internet sites which address those questions, but we're not one of them. Thanks.

        1. Ubuntu is not pretentious but is presently in flux, due to staff changes, which hopefully will be settled by your visit. Watch this space for updates.
