Fun restaurants in RI area for 23rd birthday

Hi! I am going to be celebrating my 23rd birthday on Saturday and I am looking for a good place to go with a small group of friends. I live in Lincoln, RI, so it could be anywhere in the northern RI or close-by Mass area. I was thinking maybe somewhere in Providence? I am having trouble coming up with ideas. I was hoping you guys could suggest something. I want to go somewhere really fun and different that has a younger crowd and is good for a fun birthday, but still classy. Me and all my friends want to get dressed up, so somewhere that would be kind of dressy would be good. No where too expensive either. (Most of us are just of college and in interior design field, where there are no jobs right now!) Some of us are kind of picky too, so the menu cant be too funky. Thanks in advance for the help!

Kinda generic but it is still a real fun place. Oki's Jap Steak House. Almost nothing is mroe fun the habachi! Especially if you can will the table with drinking friends

Keeping with the Chow Fun trend, I would say Luxe burger bar. We went there for my birthday in January and had a blast. The food is fantastic and the liquor milkshakes are AMAZING! Its not too expensive either!

I was also going to recommend Luxe. Definitely inexpensive but good food, Nothing too fancy but kind of fun nonetheless.

I think in order to find what you want, you're going to have to spend a decent amount of money.

I like the 10 Prime suggestion- it's loud, fun, has a mixed crowd, great (albeit expensive) cocktails, and a menu that goes from basic steaks to sushi. It's not cheap, though. I'd budget at least $50 per person, even with very conservative ordering.

You could also skip a meal and try the lounge in Local 121 for drinks. The space is lovely and the drinks are killer.

thanks, great suggestions!.. is anyone familiar wth Cafe Noir? Hows the food? I hear its the same owner as 10 Prime but a little less expensive.. Would that be a good choice for what I am looking for?

Cafe Noir is a great place with impressive food. It will cost less than 10 Prime, but not that much. I think of Cafe Noir under the heading of Romantic and quiet. Its one of my wife's favorite places in RI.

Ten Prime? May be a bit more than you care to spend, but if you don't drink *too* much, you can keep the costs under control. I think you'll like the vibe.
