Verace in Islip
Went yesterday and really enjoyed it. Don't expect your typical Italian restaurant with huge portions. The portions are small so you can enjoy appetizer, pasta and a main course with out being stuffed. I had the pear/gorgonzola pizza, shrimp risotto, and the marinated veal chop with crispy artichokes. The desserts had familiar names but Verace does their own spin on them. For example, I had the cannoli which was a tuile filled with a white chocolate mousse, excellent.
