Brunch options - lower Westchester?

I'm looking for brunch recommendations near Scarsdale (no more than 20-25 minutes drive away) to take my mom out to celebrate her birthday. We'll have 6-10 adults and a baby. We'd prefer to avoid diners. Light/healthy menu options are a plus, as is pleasant ambiance. I don't live in the area anymore, so I have no idea where to go. Recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    1. X20, in Yonkers, no contest.

Avoid City Limits like the plague.

I went to X20 once. It wasn't very good. Pretty much "banquet" food. Nice view though.

          Banquet food????? Seriously?

          Wow.

Can I get an invite to your next banquet. It's probably the only place in Westchester (aside from the Tarry Lodge) I've never heard a bad thing about....til now.

City Limits Diner -- not a diner but a casual upscale restaurant -- has great food at reasonable prices in a bright environment. Service is sometimes spotty, but this is a great brunch, lunch or dinner spot, as many other regulars on this board have attested.

          3. Although I haven't been yet, i know somebody who just went to brunch at 42 this past Sunday and said it was wonderful. The menu looks great...

$45 price fix w/ unlimited mimosas and bloody mary's!!!

            1. Half Moon, Dobbs Ferry. Really nice brunch menu, and a great environment with a wall of windows so that you get a sweeping view of the Hudson. Varied and large brunch menu with some lighter options, salads, and it's family-friendly as well, loads of room between tables, really comfortable. Moderately priced as well.

              1. Price range? Type of food? I had a thread looking for traditional irish breakfast, but the recommendations I got might not suit your needs. There are tons of places that have brunch menus in the area, but not sure if you're looking for a great meal, a place to hang out, a place to do something special for the birthday girl, etc

                1. Rain Water Grill in Hastings has a nice brunch menu on Sundays - you can call to get a menu but I liked the different eggs benedict options they have.

                  1. I've never been there for brunch, but maybe Tarry Lodge?
