Looking for great mint brownies

  • 4

I'm looking for a great brownie recipe featuring mint. I'm thinking of trying Dorie Greenspan's one with the peppermint patties mixed through ("Brrrrrownies" in Baking From My Home to Yours), but wanted to check on the board in case anyone has a favorite. Thanks!

or if you already have a favorite brownie recipe you can add chopped mint candy (peppermint patties, Andes mints, mint chips, starlight mints) or peppermint extract.

    1. I gotta tell you, peppermint patties mixed through brownies is one of my all-time favorites. I even got my neighbor's husband, a "no sweets" fanatic, to beg for them. Dorie Greenspan's are, I'm sure, fabulous, but I'll confess I usually use Ghiradelli's double or triple (can't remember what it's called) mix and add the patties to that . . . .

      1. Maida Heater also has a relly good mint brownie, with a layer or pepermint patties...

        1. This is my favorite mint brownie recipe, from a Pillsbury cookie book that I've had for years. The cream cheese layer makes them a little less sweet than the ones made with peppermint patties.
