Searching for piroshki

kittyfood Feb 27, 2010 07:32 AM

Where can I find piroshki (frozen is fine) in the Phoenix area? I'm heading over to 19th Ave. and Northern because I recall there used to be a little Russian market that had them, but in case it's no longer there, where else should I look? TJ's used to carry them but they've been discontinued. I especially like the potato/cheese variety.

I've driven by Yasha From Russia many times, but, have never checked it out.

Yes, I recommend Yasha From Russia. Fascinating place & they likely have what you're looking for; and more!

Thanks, I did find them at Yasha. I first went to the little Russian grocery on 19th south of Northern and they didn't have any, but directed me to Yasha. It is an interesting grocery, although it looks more like a bank building than a grocery store from the street. Lots of interesting cheeses, salamis, etc. there as well.
