Tucson -- Breakfast, lunch and dinner options near Loews Ventana Canyon

BRL Feb 27, 2010 04:16 AM

We will be traveling to Tucson in a couple of weeks and will be staying at the Loews Ventana Canyon. We don't want to be confined to eating our meals at the Loews so we are seeking your guidance on breakfast, lunch and dinner options in that area and other dining options worth driving to. We will have a car so we can get around easily.

We are looking for casual and upscale casual places that demonstrate what Tucson has to offer -- down home places are great too.

Welcome to Tucson! I'm not familiar with the northeast side restaurants, but during our annual family vacations at Loews' we would drive and eat all over town. Our family favorites were: Cafe Poca Cosa, Blue Willow, B-Line, Feast, Cup Cafe, Zinburger, El Guero Canelo - all are casual and affordable.

I tried to link those for you, but unfortunately, the Chowhound link function is not working now (sometimes it does, sometimes not) so check the older Tucson threads for reviews and upscale options: http://search.chow.com/search?query=t...

We live one mile from Loews and got most anywhere in Tucson in less than 30 minutes. My favorites include North, Montana Avenue, Feast, Pastiche, Cafe Poca Cosa and Vivace.
