Boboli

Does anyone know where one can buy boboli in Vancouver? They are wonderful round Italian "doughnuts" rolled in sugar and filled with cream or jam - or even Nutella.

Sciue sells ciambella - which are the round doughnuts rolled in sugar and bomboloni (which they call "bomba") which are filled with nutella. The only thing is they're actually much larger than the ones you find in Italy - in fact, two "non-piggy" people could share one. A final word of caution, don't wear anything tricky to clean, the fallout is considerable.

I think they may have them at Scuie (yaletown and downtown locations). I have seen the doughnuts you speak of on their counter in the mornings but am not sure if they are filled....

have you tried calabria bakery on Victoria and 35th (ish)

Thanks, I had thought to try Scuie, so I'll follow up on that, and also the Calabria. I tried some places in my neighborhood, Commercial Drive, and had no luck.
