Lemony bread pudding? Anyone tried to make it?

It is blistery and snowy and need to bring a dessert for a Sunday supper. I just bought two imported panettone (plain) and was thinking that I would like to make a lemony bread pudding. I have used the panettone to make a chocolate bread pudding in the past, but can't find my recipe.
This group loves lemony desserts.
Anyone made one or had a recipe?

    1. For lemon bread pudding I simply prepare a basic lemon custard, pour it over the cubed bread pieces, allow it to rest overnight in a covered refrigerated dish and bake. I find it works a little better if I increase the liquid (I use cream) slightly but that's a personal choice and others may prefer a firmer finished product.

        1. Made the Food Network's Meyer Lemon Bread Pudding with Blueberries. When I tempered the eggs w ith scalded milk, it was fine. Soaked it, smelled great.
Then, I baked it in a water bath. Looked great and smelled great, until my sixth sense kicked in. I cracked the top open to have a peek and disaster struck.
          The custard separated.
          Won't be trying it again.
Had to make an emergency cake.
