NO GOAT @Resto.... what else to get?

linguafood Feb 26, 2010 08:25 AM

So the goat ain't gonna happen. We just don't have enough people. We're still waiting to hear whether a smaller animal might be an option for a party of five.

Frankly, I wish I had known this a lot earlier, to be able to make reservations elsewhere.

But perhaps some of you can recommend dishes that Resto does particularly well, in case we end up having to order a la carte.

I hear the moules frites are good?

I love the moules frites, especially the one with thick-cut bacon. I also love the short rib and burger. The menu changes a lot but everything is good.

Also, order the deviled eggs on crispy pork toast!

Linguafood, that's so disappointing. I was looking forward to hearing about it.

I definitely second the deviled eggs and mussels.

Yah. You can imagine how disappointed I am, as I was very much looking forward to eating it '-(

Anywhos. Maybe we can still have a small beast killed for our small group haha.

Even if it ends up being chicken embryos and bivalves....

if you want good goat, you've got to head out of the boroughs...Bangane in Flushing (off Northern and 165th St.) does a delicious Korean style goat dish.

go for the goat, but stay for their Spicy Chicken and Stuffed Chicken in Soup.
