I will being going to Founding Farmers for the first time tonight and am looking for recommendations. I tend to like dishes on the lighter side but wouldn't mind some red meat options, as well. Thanks!

Even if you don't get a response, I'd love to hear what you thought of it. I'm coming up in a couple of weeks and plan on going.

I like their bacon lollipops, grilled cheese & tomato soup, carrot cake.

We waked in to FF on New Years Eve without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. The bartender, who took our order and got us our food, was excellent especially considering how busy the bar was. The only time we could have gotten a seat was after 10, so considering we just wanted to try some place we'd never been at the spur of the moment, two seats at the bar were perfectly fine - and it was very fun to watch the bartenders do their thing.

We had flat bread, the daily popcorn, salmon and a burger. Everything was excellent - the flat bread was not what I was expecting, and I probably wouldn't order it again just because it was definitely something I could easily make at home....but it was still good.

My fiance had the cranberry cucumber cooler and it was 'different' but tasty and fun to watch the bartender make it. I had the clementine cocktail - which, considering I very very rarely drink, it was a delicious treat - not too sweet and not too strong.

Finished the meal with coffee and a shared (giant) slice of red velvet cake - I had a little bit of it, but after not eating such sweet things for a while, it was too sweet for me but still luscious for a NYE treat.

All in all, I enjoyed going to Founding Farmers far more than I thought I would considering the mixed reviews - but we will definitely be back - with a reservation!
