Driving from Pigeon Forge to Nashville

Looking for a place to stop midway between the two places. Bonus points for BBQ or good southern cooking. Does anybody have any recs?

    Puleo's has a location near the interstate in Cookeville. Has 4 locations in the Knoxville area. The chef is Italian with Southern roots. Fried green tomataoes as well as Nona's lasagna.
