Rest-au-Rant in Astoria/LIC
Hey all,
I just moved about a block or two from this place on 35th Ave. It looks like it could be good, but I can't find too much online about it.
Has anyone been there?

I admit that I've only been there once, and it was about a year and a half ago, but I have been meaning to return. I think that their menus have changed since I went. I vaguely recall going for a Sunday lunch/brunch and had some kind of panini. Food was OK. Not great, not terrible. My point of comparison for Astoria paninis is Il Bambino, which totally rocks. Rest-au-Rant seems like the sort of place to chill, have some wine and cheese, but not a real sit down meal. I like the vibe of the place, airy and laid back in the summer and cozy and dimly lit in winter. The time I went there we were the only customers so I can't say what the atmosphere is like when they're more busy. Try it and share your experience!
