I am looking to buy a molcajete. I would guess I can find one at a good Mexican Store. I tried a search but I could only find references to restaurants. Any suggestions?

I Googled and they sell them at Williams-Sonoma, Crate and Barrel and Amazon.

I have seen one at Williams Sonoma, but I am looking for some price options and also I want to have a direct look at a variety

You may want to go the Williams Sonoma/Crate and Barrel/Amazon route as I have read that the more traditional versions can be high in lead.

I don't mean to be argumentative, but all the ones I have ever seen look identical. If you want to see one in person you can at WS and C&B. (I did notice that the WS one is a third more than the C&B, which is silly.) Anyway, I would like to know which of the many Mexican groceries around here that I drive by are any good...

If you go on line you will find them made from lava rock, granite, marble, plastic, on and on and on. Some of them way as much as 24 lbs. That is why I asked. I want to see what they carry in the mexican stores. I have already looked at WS

I don't know if they have molcajete but there's a Mexican grocery store on Cypress and I think a few on Armenia and Columbus
