Breakfast/brunch midtown-ish?
I am meeting a friend and her 1 year old for breakfast and/or brunch this Saturday at 10:30. She's located at Avenue and Lawrence and I'm at King and Dufferin.
Any suggestions for somewhere in the middle that would be suitable with a child?
Thanks!
Easy at Queen and Roncesvalles is a good option, though far from halfway (convenient for you!). I also think that the Yorkville outpost of Le Pain Quotidien is a solid kid-friendly brekkie option.

Lately we've taken our 16 month old to the Rebel House, The Dakota, The Pickle Barrel and Dynasty - all with great success.

Rebel House and Dakota Tavern aren't open at 10:30, though. That's always one of the hard parts in trying to brunch with kids - lots of places don't open before 11.
We keep meaning to try the Dakota Tavern with our kids. It sounds like a really fun spot. Is it usually lined up when it opens?

Maybe Mitzi's at College and Dovercourt?

I haven't been to this location yet but it's closer for me than the others. Do they have a lot of line-ups? How big is it?

I've only been during the week, when there are no lineups. It's not a huge place -- I'd say they can fit 30 people or so.

Unfortunately, College and Dovercourt is too far south. I really need something anywhere from Yonge and Eg up to Yonge and Lawrence Area or likewise on Avenue Road.

How about Boom on Eglinton, between Ave and Yonge? It's not going to blow you away, but it's a fine spot for a casual brunch, especially with a 1-yr old.

Thanks TorontoJo, Boom is exactly what I am looking for.
Does it get busy? Will we need to line up?

I think it gets busy, but I've only been once and that was earlier in the morning. I'm guessing around 10:30 it will be busy, but not as busy as later in the morning. It's a pretty big place, so I don't imagine that you'd have to wait long, regardless.

And Golden Griddle at Eglinton and Red Path---good pancakes (I don't order anything else there). (I also like Boom but I'm thinking GG might be less busy at the time you're going.)

There's also Pain Perdu on St. Clair at Christie, but it DOES get busy as the food is top notch.
