Restaurant recommendations near Air Conditioned Supper club in Venice

Will be seeing Orgone play at this venue on Thurs. Feb. 25th. Any Chow worthy places near Lincoln Blvd. between Rose Ave. and Venice Blvd.?

My first post on Chowhound. I am so excited! Thanks so much for any recommendation.

Abbott Kinney has the best dining choices in the area by far. Try one of these:

    The Tasting Kitchen
    Joe's Restaurant
    Gjelina
    Axe

Thank you all for your recommendations. I will try Mariscos Chente since there has been such incredible write up about it; and only 2 miles away from the concert venue.

      Thanks again.

So, after all that, we ate at home: green salad, good cheese, good bread to soak up the alcohol. Thanks for all the suggestions. I still need to go to Mariscos Chente.

If we're talking walking distance, in addition to Baby Blues you can also have your pick of 2 Mexican joints kitty corner from each other: La Cabana, and Casa Blanca. Both about the same quality, namely: perfectly adequate for a dinner before a concert, especially if you want to load up on margaritas or other drinks. Both places have hand-made tortillas as well, which are great.

Your are not far from Abbot Kinney Blvd with lots of good places to eat there there. Gejlina is my favorite on the street.

Lots! Right near there is Baby Blues BBQ is you're in the mood for BBQ. There's also Venice Beach Wines right around the corner on Rose which is tiny, but I think the food is great. Also on Rose is Sauce on Hampton, which is at the intersection of Hampton and Rose. Also tiny, but with reasonably priced, healthy, tasty fare. Last time a friend of mine played there a few weeks ago we all met pre-show for a fantastic dinner at Mariscos Chente, which is not in the immediate vicinity but only a 5-10 minute drive away.

I second Baby Blue BBQ. Good ribs and hot links.
