restaurant suggestions-visit boston 1 time a year, anything new and yummy

jills Feb 22, 2010 01:44 PM

I go to Boston every year. I'm looking for some suggestions for dinner. I want to try some new things, maybe in the North End. I love Prezza and Neptune, anything as good or better. Also any seafood or meditterean suggestions, hows avila? We like Atlantic and Ooishi

If money is not a concern then give O-Ya a try. Superb Japanese style food and voted the Best restaurant in Boston last year. I also like Scampo in the Liberty Hotel. Excellent Italian food in very hip atmosphere. Try the signature lobster pizza as an appetizer to share.

I'd also recommend Market in the W Hotel on Stuart St. Maybe TW Food in Cambridge? In the north end, there's been some good reviews of Restaurante Damiano (did I spell that right) which is quite new. Not much else new in the NE. Sasso across from the Pru became Lucca Back Bay but basically the same. Have you been to Sorellina already? I think Avila is okay and certainly a nice room. Vlora in Copley Sq. is good for Mediterranean.

Erbaluce may be "new and yummy" since your last visit.

I'd definitely second Erbaluce for great Italian food. I really love what Charles Draghi is doing there...

10 is a lot. But I bet Erbaluce would accommodate.

I think Erbaluce has a private room so if they're full in the main dining room they could make it happen. Hands down they're among the top in Boston right now. The food is exquisite, the wine list extensive and the service is impeccable. The boar is delish and if they have razor clams on the menu and you like shellfish, you can't go wrong.
