Birthday Dinner in Providence, Rhode Island

Hello,

Me and my sister are planning a birthday dinner for my mom who turns 55 next week. It will probably end up being about 20-25 people, so we are looking for a good size restaurant to be able to accommodate us all. We are a loud, italian family and love a good restaurant. Me and my sister are not looking for an extremely expensive place like a Capriccio's or a Siena, but something along those lines for food in the Providence/Warwick area. We would appreciate any of your suggestions! Thanks!

So about how much are you willing to spend per person including alcohol?

Without knowing your budget, I recommend Caffe Itri, in Cranston. It's bright, fun and bustling, with great food (much better than Capriccio, in my opinion) at reasonable prices. They have an amazing, well-priced wine list, also.

I guess we don't really have a budget, but we just did not want it to be to over the top, expensive, maybe 30 per person. Caffe Itri is really good, small though isn't it?

I've seen lots of large groups there, so 20ish people shouldn't be a problem.

Is the $30 the entree price or total meal price? If it's the entree price, you could do Chez Pascal, which kicks major ass. It's not Italian, but it's so good.
