Mandarin Reading - New Interior, Buffet is about the best around
The interior is refurbished and aside from the huge mistake of not having any lighting over the sushi section of the buffet, it is very well appointed. I had lunch there today and the selection was excellent as was the service at the new bar. They offer better quality and more selection than their sister Mandarin in Danvers by far. I really like the pork and bamboo shoots, salt and pepper squid, shumai and a good assortment of pot stickers, mini spring rolls and scallion pancakes. While they have the standard Americanized goo, most of the buffet dishes are very good and offer a glimpse into a rather deep and broad menu.

nothing hard core on the buffet - crab stick / Cali roll, salmon, tuna, shrimp - it is SO dark under there that it was hard to tell. Monday is tuna sushimi night (we have frozen tuna block from this past summer's catch) @ home so I skipped most of the sushi. When I have had the sushi, it is fairly pedestrian as typical for a buffet.
