Butter Chicken @ Sostanza, Florence

DavidT Feb 22, 2010 07:45 AM

There was a nice article in the SF Chronicle about the butter chicken served at Trattoria Sostanza in Florence. A recipe for the dish is included:

That sounds good! I will be in Florence next week and plan to check out Sostanza.

The bistecca at Sostanza is also first rate.

I try to limit my consumption of red meat, so unfortunately, I need to give the bistecca a miss.

However, I will be on the lookout for truffle dishes. :)

We have always enjoyed the gnocchi in black truffle sauce served at Antico Fattore which is right next to the Uffizi

            Yum!! That sounds great. :)

Antico Fattore is on my "not to miss" list...thanks in no small part to your excellent reccos on CH.

Don't forget to go to their website before you eat there and get the "gift" offer, then print it out and take it with you. You get a free bottle of good wine and a nice little dish useful for olives, nuts, etc.
