4 Bistros in Paris

Are these 4 bistros worth a visit? Are walk ins welcome or are reservations highly recommended?

Le Bistrot Paul Bert <11th Arr>

Le Bistrot de Paris < 7th Arr>

Chez L'Ami Jean <7th Arr>

Chez Georges <near the Place des Victoires>

We will be going to Paris in June with our 13 year old niece. While we will be taking daily trips further afield on some days we wanted some affordable places for the evening meal in Paris.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I can only comment on Chez L'Ami Jean and, for that bistro, I can say unequivocally YES. Simply superb.

    1. Le Bistrot Paul Bert <11th Arr> Yes
Le Bistrot de Paris < 7th Arr> Nah
      Chez L'Ami Jean <7th Arr> Yes
Chez Georges <near the Place des Victoires> So yesterday.
All (you realize) have been "discovered" esp. by among others, the NYT and at night are the equivalent of Danny Meyer places, but are OK.
      For newer places, dig deeper.

      1. I would only eat at Paul Bert if you are already nearby. It's fine, but not worth taking the metro for.

Why is this place so packed with hysterical diners? I've never been, but is it that great?
