what do you think of my naples' restaurants short list?
Hi-
Going to Naples from NY this week. Given that the weather doesn't seem too promising, we might spend a lot of time looking for restaurants. what do you think of my list:
Informal lunches with baby:
- Inca's Kitchen
- Fernandez the Bull
- Captain Kirk's Stone Crabs
date nights:
Campiello
Truluck's
Swanriver Seafood
Blue Provence
Also would like to hit the Latin Bakery by Beth Bad and Beyond.
Any other recs?
Thanks!

I don't know how many dinners you have but I would 2nd Val's recommendation for IM Tapas. It's a local gem. I also love Campiello. Your other suggestions are good. Nice lunch would be outdoors at Tommy Bahamas. For that matter, Campiello also has a nice outdoor patio for lunch.

A good short list! IM Tapas is a favorite, as well as Inca's. These are Naples "Musts".
If you want a more romantic French setting at night with top French food at reasonable prices (because they are not in a high rent area), savor Escargot 41.
Bleu Provence is a notch down from Escargot 41, and has pleasant French food at happy hour prices and times.
KC American Bistro is very good for dinner.Tommy B's is good, not great food, with a fun atmosphere, perfect for your lunch. Campiello's is a culinary step up from Tommys, and great for lunch, especially with a child..
I like Swan River for fresh seafood, however for a step above, try Bert's Seafood on 5th for great Cape Cod style seafood, or next door to Swan River is USS Nemo, with an Asian twist that's refreshing.
Instead of Fernandez, which is good Cuban, how about lunch at Flippers just before Fort Myers Beach, and you overlook a sandy beach, and occasional dolphins. It's quite informal and way more memorable!

Hey, since you have good Italian in NY (and you definitely DO!)...why not switch out Campiello for IM Tapas? IM Tapas is only open for dinner but folks say it is really stellar...so maybe consider Spanish vs. Italian? That would be my one rec...hopefully, OTHERS WILL CHIME IN...LOL! I have not been there YET...but many good people rave about it.
