Best and worst Buffet in Rock;and/Westchester

In light of my experience at the new Ivy Buffet in West Nyack, I would like to nominate Hard Wok Buffet on Route 304 in New City/Bardonia NY as the best. As to the worst I think you know my choice, no use beating a dead uneatable horse.

Our fave in Westchester is King Buffet on Rte 6 in Mohegan Lake (just off of the Bear Mtn Pkwy). They've been around forever and frequently add new things to their buffet and have some items (including roast duck) which I haven't seen elsewhere.

I haven't been to the buffet mentioned in Fishkill for a comparison, but hope to do so in the near future.

I haven't been there in a while, but my family used to go to New Country Buffet on Rt 59. It's pretty good.

Buffets, by nature, are pretty awful. They're an appeal to the American propensity for gluttony. I vote for smaller portions of great food, any day. And I want to be seated and served when I go to a restaurant.

agree with the the gluttony point. but i don't mind counter service if the food is good.

Chinese buffet or overall buffet?

There is a Chinese buffet in New Rochelle that is disgusting. The Chinese buffet in POK on Route 9 is one of the best I've had.

OK -- my choice for served buffet still has to be Restaurant X in Congers. Worst is Spiga in Hartsdale or wherever they are.

Kittle House and Sunset Cove are only okay. These are all breakfast buffets, I haven't been to any dinner buffets.

Yvonne's was good, but I haven't been to their new location in Mount Vernon.

There aren't a lot of excellent buffets in Westchester, and I am not that familiar with Rockland.

POK? Route 9? In what town- 9 runs upper to lower westchester... Henry Hudson even.

It might be Fishkill. It's near an outlet where they used to have Bass shoes.

Sorry, but it was a long time ago. They might not even be there anymore.
