Dim Sum in Flushing tomorrow (Sunday)

We are supposed to be going for dim sum tomorrow in Flushing. My mother just told me that it is Chinese New Year and probably not a good time to go into Flushing. I looked online and it seems that the parades are today (Saturday). Would you still advise against going there for Dim Sum tomorrow?

The major dim sum parlors all are mobbed on weekends normally. Expect a 30 minute to an hour wait. Chinese New Year will only make it longer. LOL
