Port-au-prince- Homer, La

Hi...Port-au-prince used to be a favorite saturday evening drive destination of my family's...or when we would occasionally rent cabins at the lake. It was a family run an all-you-can eat steak or catfish with sides type restaurant. I really enjoyed it as a teenager 7 or 8 years ago. Is it still open? How is the food? Have the begun offereing anything new? Last time i visited, they pretty much just had steaks, catfish, beans, slaw, relish, hushpuppies, (fries?), and cheesecake.

Yes, it is still open and still family run. There is nothing new on the menu except that they have lots of different pie and not just cheesecake. Mrs. Ruth Prince is still running P-A-P.

My spouse is from Homer and they used to eat at Port-au-Prince, too. His mom still lives there. I'll ask her if the restaurant is still there.
