Anyone tried the lobster pot pie at Berkeley Bowl?

A recent Michael Minna thread brought the BB pie to mind. It is $9.95. The better deal is to get it in the restaurant because for that same price it comes with a salad.

Just wondering how the pot pies compare to others in the area.

I haven't, but I did try the duck-confit shepherd's pie, and it wasn't very good at all, which doesn't give much confidence in their doing a good job with something as delicately flavored as lobster. The duck dish was so badly seasoned that it could have been made with any mystery-meat.

Is it available at both BB East and BB West? Just wondering since BB West's restaurant seems a bit more developed (outwardly) at least. Is it available to take home in the deli section? Sounds like it could be good.

I don't shop at BB East anymore, so can't say if the deli case has the pie.
