Boiling Shrimp across from Jumbo's Clown Room... Asian Cajun?

I drove by this place yesterday. I'm wondering has anyone been and is it like the Cajun Asian crawfish places in SGV?

I stopped in today and talked to one of the owners. They are shooting for a mid March opening. No booze license at opening, will have a corkage fee. Still working on menu but similar to Boiling Crab plus some Thai spicy dishes. Sounds yummm! It's a tiny place, maybe 30-40 seats

Can't wait! Please keep us informed! For the record, Jumbo's is not topless.

yeah, it's pasties or whatever. is that what they call those things???

although next door to jumbo's clown room is kruang tedd which is a pretty decent thai joint.

I think you can buy organic pasties at the 99cent store on Sunset thursday, friday & saturday after 9pm!

They have some very good baklava across the street at Pano's or you can go down the street to Ara's. You should be very happy with either one.

I guess know one knows. I'll have to drive over there some day soon.

I think it was the space that used to be Golden Fish (an Armenian restaurant). And now there's the sign for The Boiling Shrimp. But when I dropped by it still looked shuttered and does not look close to open as if they just put the boiling shrimp sign up, but the place is still gutted. At least it's nice to know there's a location of Carousel in that same mini-mall, which I never knew. Report back if you happen to try it or have any updates.

Ok, I'll check it out in a week or so. Thanks for sleuthing.

Yep same as carousel, and diagonally across the street from jumbo's, it's the mini-mall just due east of sanamluange cafe.

I was looking right across the street and did not see it as I was heading west. Thanks for clarifying.

That's trouble! Beer, Cajun Shrimp Boil and Topless Dancers. Catch you all in a few weeks. Is it in the same plaza as Jumbo's or across the street?
