Wilson's Farm scone update

tweetie Feb 19, 2010 01:57 PM

A while back there was a discussion about a change (and not a good one) in the quality of scones sold at Wilson's Was there today and confirmed with one of the bakery workers that Wilson's no longer gets their scones from a place in Haverhill called Jacqueline's. (a real surprise to me that they weren't baked on site) Apparently they stopped using butter and Wilson's stopped using them and began making their own. Sadly, Wilson's own are quite miserable in my opinion, one shared by the woman in the bakery who said they are often undercooked and doughy. For now, I'll stick with the raspberry twists which are wonderful. Wonder who makes them??

Thanks for looking into that and posting tweetie. I'm the one who started the original thread and I'm glad to know it wasn't just me. I always assumed they made them in house before...they might have been better off staying with Jacqueline's anyway.
