New Southern Soul Food Restaurant in Norwalk any one been yet?

Want to know what is was like? I love my fried chicken, greens, and of course the great homemade southern cakes and pudding? SO what is going on there?

  1. Do you mean Jeff's Southern Kitchen? It's in SoNo in been open for years now. It's good when it's fresh but if you come mid afternoon or late night, it's not so good.

Fried chicken is decent. Didn't like their ribs but the pulled pork was decent

        Thanks W.

Jfood gotta try Jeff's this week for lunch. He keeps forgetting about this place. Do you know if you can order the Bubba Po Boy separated into a plate?

But what about the New Place across from Vet's Park with a water view? Nobody knows about it? I still go to Jeff's but I like a variety as it is a spice of life!

Jeff's pulled pork and collard greens are very good. So is the Jambalaya. Thier corn bread is interesting - never had it with a touch of cinnamon before.

Thank you for the name and web site, looked at the menu and it looks good but looking forward to hearing about the taste, cleanliness and what you ordered. Can't wait to hear but I might go this week. Thanks very munch.

          2. I met the owner's mom recently. She gave me the menu, which looks very promising, though haven't yet ventured over there.

I've also always wanted to try the Puerto Rican place across the street. Anyone been?
