PBS Create Burt Wolf show, "What We Eat"
I don't often get to watch this one, but it is quite interesting. In each show, he traces the history and cultural significance in America of a particular ingredient or food, such as corn or cheese.
Generally, his shows are more travelogue than cooking lesson. This one doesn't have a lot of recipe info either, but the material is enlightening.

I enjoy the Burt Wolf segments -- cuisine in culture.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Initially I was expecting another Burt Wolf travelogue but there's a lot of interesting info in each show. It really made me think about the influence food has had on culture.
