Would love suggestions for a place for seven ladies on the upper east side for a birthday brunch, preferably near 85th St, including drinks if possible.

Le Bilboquet on 63rd between Madion & Park seems perfect for what you want (though its a bit further down than what you had asked for). Its a small French restaurant with a very fun atmosphere, its also hard to get a reservation to so call in advance!

I think Uptown on 3rd and 88/89 has a brunch w/drinks. Parlor Steakhouse one block north has a nice brunch too.

How old are these "girls?" Are they of drinking age? Or do you mean grown women?

Not sure of any such place on the UES, but if you want to go across town, I think Sunburnt Calf is open...or Calle Ocho, which does Sangria Sundays (all you can drink 7 types of sangria).
