Northern Minnesota Coffee

I am frequently in Northern Minnesota and I love coffee. Is there any place to get great coffee north of the twin cities? I am fairly familiar with the options in Duluth, but I am specifically looking for a good cup in other places (Hinckley, St. Cloud, Brainerd, Grand Rapids...anywhere really).

I'm not much of a coffee expert, but I remembered that there's a neat little coffee and ice cream shop next to Gordy's High Hat in Cloquet, MN. http://www.warming-house.com/

Also, here's an old recommendation from AnneInMpls for a place in Grand Rapids, MN, though, once again, it's a recommendation for the ice cream. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/6284...

    Good luck!

Awesome. Thanks TDQ. Both of those are in areas I drive through from time to time. I vaguely remember seeing the Warming House before. I'll check them out.

Let me second Brewed Awakenings! Good food, too, AND cookies from Duluth's Positively Third Street Bakery, nom nom nom. . .

If you're in a pinch, the Bixby's chain of bagel shops has decent coffee too. Great, no, but decent.

Just coffee? Try the Java Moose in downtown Grand Marais, MN. Nice north shore atmosphere, overlooks the bay and has wifi.

World's Best Donuts also in Grand Marais is also a coffee shop and they have a mug club. You can keep your own personal mug on a shelf in the shop.
