ISO Liquor Store with Good Scotch Selection

My husband loves single malt, particularly the Islay ones. He is working in town in the Embassy Row area. Can anyone recommend a liquor store with a particular good scotch selection? I am sure DH would be more than willing to cab anywhere but closer to his area would be preferred.

I think that BY FAR the best selection of single malts is at Wine Specialist on M Street.

For example, when I wanted to get my husband a bottle of Ardbeg Supernova for his birthday last August, they were the only store in the tri-state area that had received any bottles from the distributor.

That would be interesting. My sister-in-law found a bottle of Supernova for DH for Christmas. He was so happy about that.
