Cupcakes in the Village?

Thanks to all who responded to my previous post about a German restaurant for my daughter's birthday. I've looked into all the recommendations and decided Lederhosen fits our needs the best. The birthday girls wants cupcakes for dessert - is there any great cupcake place in the area where we could go for dessert??

I prefer Amy's on Bleecker Street -- very flavorful cake. Magnolia cupcakes are way too sweet and frosting is chemically tasting

Second Amy's, especially on Fridays/Saturdays when they have red velvet!

You won't be too far from Sweet Revenge-and they also have wine! Their cupcakes are super moist and delicious. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to join the masses in the gigantic line at Magnolia! Biiig waste of time/money/calories.

magnolia..bleh...honestly, i dont know one person (food blogs or friends/family/etc.) that think those cupcakes are good...How does that work?!
