Jazz Brunch Recommendations
I'm heading to NOLA in a few weeks and looking for recommendations on a restaurant for Jazz Brunch. Food, music and atmosphere being of equal importance, and we are staying in the French Quarter. Any thoughts/recommendations?
Any discussion of jazz brunch, begins and ends with Commanders Palace. It's not in the Quarter, but you can take the streetcar up St. Charles.

Another choice is the Sunday Jazz Brunch in the Blue Room in the recently beautifully renovated Roosevelt Hotel downtown on Baronne St:

The Blue Room is going to do the Jazz part of the brunch at a higher level than Commando's. Good suggestion.

Muriel's is a good choice in the Quarter. Laid back, great food. The only problem is that the restaurant is separated into rooms so you don't always get music as the jazz trio moves around. Some think it's "touristy," but I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed Brennan's Breakfast a lot and although I didn't go to Commander's Palace for Brunch I went for dinner and it was sublime.
One "Jazz Brunch" I'd STRONGLY recommend AGAINST in Arnaud's. It was overpriced, underserved, and by far my worst dining experience in New Orleans (actually, it was one of my worst dining experiences ever.)
