Pescatore vs. Luna Piena

Pescatore sucks. Luna Piena is a good neighborhood joint, but def not a destination restaurant. I assume you/your date lives in the area?

Definitely Luna Piena if you want your date to think you know/care at all about food.

Both places really suck, as far as food is concerned, in my opinion.
Since you're looking to go Italian, I'd suggest going a few more blocks south to Convivio.

Well now you are bringing it to another price level....Im assuming OP picked those places for the $$?
If money isnt an issue then i agree, convivio. There is also a little wine bar right there (name escapes me) that would be perfect for a date. 52nd /53rd and 2nd.

both are ok...but i prefer the FOOD at luna piena...pescatore wins for atmosphere
