I thought 'hounds might find this of interest: Ashkii's Navajo Grill is opening on Broadway in Farmington, with an exclusively Navajo menu. Pretty cool - when I was a prosecutor up there in the mid-'90s, you had to go to the Shiprock KFC to get mutton.

I read of Ashkii's Navajo Grill yesterday and wondered if anyone has tried it yet. I will be in Farmington later this year for my 50th class reunion and plan to eat there during that trip. How is it? The flea markets, the Four Corners vendors, and Shiprock have been options for a long time - but the Farmington restaurant scene is a big step forward.

also curious. Anyone been? We had the mutton stew at the Indian Harvest Cafe at the Pueblo Cultural Center in ABQ and it was homey and tasty.

I'll always remember having mutton stew at the Shiprock Kentucky Fried Chicken in '93 . . .

Thanks for this heads up. I get up there 2 or 3 times/year. Always end up at the 3 Rivers for beer and fish'n'chips.
