Bean/pea sprouts/good produce in Los Angeles (Mid-Wilshire/Miracle Mile)

I recently moved from New York where I was a member of the Park Slope food coop...I got used to buying little packages of bean/pea sprouts that were SO delicious, but I think they came from farm in PA (the company was "The Sproutman.")I'm assuming these were grown indoors as they were available year-round.

Is there anywhere in LA that sells a variety of sprouts? In such a health-conscious city I'd imagine so, but I haven't found it yet. Whole Foods and Trader Joes are no-go, and my search for a co-op type supermarket hasn't yielded any results. Haven't started looking around at farmers markets yet, but they are limiting because of timing and location.

I'd just love to find an inexpensive place for groceries that has great local produce and meat. And sprouts.Too much to ask?

    1. IIRC the Hollywood Farmers Market on Sunday has the largest selection of produce in your area, but I can't speak specifically to sprouts.

Co-Opportunity in Santa Monica is the only co-op type market that I'm aware of, but they are not inexpensive by LA standards.

        1. Not exactly directly responsive to your request, but I'm a sprout fan too and both the weds and sat Santa Monica farmer's markets have vendors with a wide variety of sprouts.

            1. there is or used to be a sprouts vendor at the Larchmont farmers market on Sunday. I'll check next time I go if the vendor is still there.
