I remember having good Cuban food at Latin American Cafe in White Plains. Other than that, shoe - there aren't too many choices north of the Bronx.

          Sra Swanky,
I just went to Baileys BBQ . It was fantastic! The brisket was tender. I am getting over my loss of Q's in MK very quickly!
Thanks for the recommendation. I actually read something you wrote about red velvet cupcakes and the BBQ place. Followed it to a T.
          Your the best!

Thumbs up for both!!! Karamba has a daily lunch special for 6.95, everything comes with rice and beans!! Latin American Cafe is definitely a little more restaurant-y... Karamba is like a diner/bar

Miki is right about the atmosphere of Karamba and Latin American Cafe. There is a a Dominican place in Sleepy Hollow called Corona's Lunch. They are excellent and cheap but definitely looks like a dive. It is no more than a counter top that seats, maybe, 10 people but the food is great. I can get enough for two meals for $10. Its a little hard to find but if you google it or look on these boards you can find it.

Yum! LOVE empanadas. I checked out a few of the empanada places through adamclyde's reviews. (They made me so hungy!) Here's his empanada thread:

MED in Briarcliff is my favorite place so far! (and the closest - always a plus!)
