Here is a link to a database from the SF Chronicle for wineries in & around the town of Sonoma. The info & reviews may not be totally up to date, but it should give you some helpful ideas.

I believe there are one or two wine shops in the town of Sonoma that offer some kind of wine tasting daily.

Thanks but we just changed our reservation from Sonoma to Healdsburg.

You can do a search for the Healdsburg area on the same sfgate.com site. I would highly recommend driving west out of Healdsburg and exploring Dry Creek Valley. Plenty of wineries there and it is a beautiful spot

Dry Creek area, check out Montemaggiore.com for syrah - I think you need an appointment
Rafanelli for Zin, Chalk Hill and Lynmar for chard and pinot
Dehlinger for red - again need reservation

I would not miss Gary Farrell and Ferrari-Carano in the Healdsburg area. You will find some excellent Pinot Noir at Gary Farrell. If you go to the Plaza area there are several tasting rooms, we loved our experience at Kendall Jackson, we did the Reserve tasting, they make a really nice Late Harvest Chardonnay there. Don't miss Willi's Seafood & Raw Bar and Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsburg, are you dining at Cyrus? We have been 3 times, amazing place! :)
