Easy Salmon Coulibiac recipe?

A few years back there was an episode on Martha Stewart where she had a buddy of hers come on and make a coulibiac using CANNED salmon and vermicelli. I'm looking online and not having any luck in finding. :(

The recipe they made that day seemed simple (and yummy!) but all the versions here on CH make it sound complicated. Can anyone help? I'll gladly take an improvised suggestion.

  1. It took me a while, but I believe I've found the recipe you're looking for. The recipe is Ariadne Esterhazy Clifton's is from Martha Stewart Living. She uses Japanese cellophane noodles.

    2. There are some dishes that should not be "shortcutted". Coulibiac is one of them. There is a certain satisfaction in producing a perfect coulibiac. Like other classics such a cassoulet and paella, attempts at imitation are bound to fail. Go for the real thing and be proud.
