Challenge: 20 people, $20 dinner, Convention Center - Feb 22nd

I am coming into town with budget conscious, work colleagues and would like to find a place where we can do a "team" dinner. There will be 20 of us - most of them have no food preferences...just a couple foodie types...but with a bit of New Orleans flavor. I need a place that will take a reservation on Monday, Feb 22nd for 20 people that will serve dinner and a coke/sweet tea for $20. Any recommendations?

Also, any recommendations for good lunch places around the convention center? Thanks!

Are you going to be on foot? I will assume you are.

I'm not a huge fan of Deanies but it's very reasonable for the price and you get a ton of food. I've only been to the one in Bucktown, haven't tried the one near the Convention Center.

    Couchon

Mulate's - I've only been to the one in Breaux Bridge and it was good.

Ernst Cafe - never been there but planning on trying it soon

There's always the River Walk Mall if those other places are too expensive for you. They used to have a Mike Anderson's in the mall food court, I guess it's still there.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to see what we can do to get a reservation. Cochon sounds fantastic, but may be too high brow for some of my colleagues. I might be Mulate's, Ernst or Deanies.
