Special Restaurant During Visit

Five of us are coming from various places around the country for a meeting, and we need a good place for dinner on the evening of Monday, February 22nd. We will be staying at the Bahia and we probably will need to get around by taxi. This is a very sophisticated group of diners and we would like somewhere with an excellent wine list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would do early cocktails at the Marine Room in La Jolla and enjoy the sunset and then dinner.
Addison at the Grand Del Mar is another great place with an extensive wine list.

I keep reading about Addison, but it is a haul from Mission Bay. I grew up in San Diego and, at least as I remember, it wasn't much of a taxi town. Could we get a taxi back from Del Mar?

Taxi to Addison will be expensive. I would guess around $100 each way. Very close to Bahia would be Bertrand at Mister A's. Killer views, nice cocktails and wine list. Food is Continental.

Taxi cost me about $40 from the SD Airport to the the village of LJ so $100 each way is pretty high estimate.
If you think its a haul to La Jolla/Del Mar from Mission Bay, then I'm out on recommending places.

I would even call Addison ahead and see if they could arrange a car to pick you up.
