  1. We have found several so far - New Shanghai on Spring Mountain, and China Mama and Wendy's Noodle Cafe, across the street from each other on Jones a half block off of Spring Mountain (although they use different names to refer to them). The best? Tough call. Let's say that the most consistent have been at China Mama.

I agree with China Mama, but I'm upset that they took chili oil off the condiment tray. Soy, vinegar AND chili oil makes the best dipping sauce for me.

Went to China Mama last night. Not very crowded, not great ambiance. BUT the xiaolongbao were fresh and outstanding...not too much soup, Cooked to order. I talked with the owner who recommended the shimp pillows. Esscentially shimp and leek pancake- Out of this world. Then they brought out some comp chicken noodle soup. Very tasty and authentic. To finish, I had to have the beef rolls...which it seemed everyone else in the place ordered as well. Very fresh, excellent dish. Owner told me every dish made from scratch, for every order. Not the most beautiful place, but extremely friendly and worth a visti!!

    2. Outstanding. Thanks for the update. I did hear that the Chinese restaurant in Ceasars makes them as well.
