Guatemalan grocery store?

Hey all,

So, I spent the summer in Guatemala, and brought back some amazing chocolate (for making hot chocolate). I have quite a bit left, but am beginning to anticipate a time when it's finished and needs replacing.

I can't find it online--are there any guatemalan grocery stores that might have it? After two years of oaxcan and guatemalan hot chocolate, I can't imagine ever going back to Ibarra.

thanks!

    1. I don't know if they have that chocolate, but I can point you in the direction of a couple Guatemalan markets.

There is a new one in Brooklyn on New Utrecht btw 71/69th street. They also serve food in the back. Not too far away from there is a smaller one on Bath Avenue between 18th/20th avenue.

In Queens there is a small one in Far Rockaway across the street from Kosher World Supermarket by Beach 19th street. They also have a steam table and serve food.

      Good luck.

Had a chance to eat at the Chapincita on New Utrecht....not bad. They have a steam table set up in the back. Handmade tortillas which are nice.

          • There's at least one other in Jamaica, Queens...

...though, again, no promises on the availability of that amazing chocolate. Happy travels!
