where to buy maple sugar

Where can I buy maple sugar in the bay area -- preferably east bay? I've already checked WF, Farmer Joe's, Food Mill in Oakland. Any ideas? Thanks.

    1. WF must just temporarily be out of it - i've seen it in their stores in LA, SD, NY, NJ & Chicago. did you ask someone?

        1. Give Berkeley Bowl a call, they might have what you're looking for.

            1. Not the east bay I know...but Rainbow is the only source that comes to mind. But call first...if I remember it's in a smaller jar in the bulk area.

                1. Berkeley Bowl West had it on their shelves as of last Friday. Aunt Patty's brand organic maple sugar at 13.65$ for 13 oz! Maybe there is a less expensive source?

I'll check Rainbow. A little goes a long way, and I really liked a Pecan pie I made that was sweetened partially with maple sugar, so I've been wondering if I could find it locally.

Rainbow definitely has it; I saw it there on Monday. It's in a gallon jar on the shelf at the end of the bulk aisle with the sugars.
I didn't notice the price, though.

                              Rainbow Grocery: $17.93 / lb. BB's would be 16.8 / lb.
